Video: Suspected Hoodlums Led By Akile Ojon of Ijan and Ejigbo, Chief Muri Adeyemi Attacks, Maim Innocent Residents In Ejigbo Over A Disputed Property

Suspected hoodlums led by one of the palace Chiefs of Oba Ojan of Ijan and Ejigbo, HRM Oba Moruf Adekunle Ojoola on Saturday attacked innocent residents of Ejigbo LCDA area of Lagos over a disputed property owned by Fadun-Onimewon family.

Residents of Iyalaje Estate, Ejigbo can barely sleep with their two eyes closed over the nefarious activities of hoodlums and members of secret cults being carried out in the area. One of such acts was carried out by suspected hoodlums loyal to Chief Muri Adeyemi, the Akile Ojan of Oba Moruf Adekunle Ojoola on innocent residents of 3, Iyalaje Estate in the wee hours of Saturday. An ugly incidence which lasted for almost 10 hours without the intervention of Security operatives. One person was reported to be seriously injured and receiving treatment as at the time of filing this report.

While speaking with one of the residents, an eye witness to the scene who pleaded anonymity for security reasons told us that the suspected hoodlums were led by one Muri Adeyemi, who is the Akile of Ojan, and in company of Ibrahim Adesina (Malaika), Rasheed Goloba, and Kareem Jubril wielding cutlass, sledge hammer and other dangerous weapons which they used to attack residents of 3, Iyalaje Estate of Ejigbo. The attack, as gathered by our correspondent started at about 7:00am on Saturday and was neither contained by the men of Ejigbo Nigerian Police Division nor Special Anti Robbery Squad, Ikeja where the case had earlier been treated just three days before the ugly incidence occurred.

“This incidence happened on Saturday 23rd of June, 2018, starting from 7:00am till 9:00pm when they attacked and gained forceful entry into the house to commit this crime at No 3, Iyalaje Estate, Ejigbo, Lagos. We alerted the Nigerian Police, Ejigbo Division and the Federal SARS, Ikeja as well as the Area “D” command of Police Division but they could not do anything about this while the Ejigbo Police Boss and his men watched as the terror lasts. Please, come to our aid in Ejigbo to stop these acts of terrorism by the powers that be in Ejigbo”.

When our correspondent contacted the Divisional Police Officer of Ejigbo Police Division, Bashir Kotangora, he said that they had earlier taken the case to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja and that his division could no longer intervene in the matter.

All efforts to contact ACP AbdulFatai Adigun who mediated in the matter on behalf of Federal SARS, Ikeja on Tuesday 19th of June, 2018 proved abortive as he did not pick his calls as at press time.

It will be recalled that a petition of threat to life and impersonation had earlier been filed against the Oba elect of Ejigbo, Prince Olawale Edagbeja by Ojon of Ijan and Ejigbo, HRM Oba Moruf Ojoola  at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad Headquarter, Ikeja while the officer in charge of the case, ACP AbdulFatai Adigun advised the two parties to resolve their matter amicably, citing that the event that led to filing the petition was a family affair and that the Police is not permitted under the law to intervene in such matter and if same can not be resolved within the family ranks, they should charge it to court.
