2018 Annual Ifa/Orisa Festival/ Lecture: Oluwo Fasola Faniyi Calls For All Inclusive Participation
The Founder of Ancestral Pride Foundation, Oluwo Dr. Fasola Faniyi is set to host traditionalists and numerous well wishers from around the world at this year’s Ifa/Orisa Celebration. The week long activity is slated to hold from 18th of November to 25th of November 2018 with dignitaries from different faceted of life expected to be in attendance.
The event that has always been hosted by the family of Late Oluwo Ifasola Ifagbemi. However, this year’s celebration will be hosted by Ancestral Pride Temple in collaboration with Ancestral Pride Foundation which was founded last year by the Ifa sage.
While briefing newsmen in his residence, Oluwo Dr. Fasola reiterated that this year’s celebration will be a week-long activity viz; Welcoming of guests from all part of the world and offering to Esu and Ogun, birthday celebration of Oluwo Dr. Fasola Faniyi, Press Conference, Yoruba Quiz Competition among schools and variety of other activities.
However, the grand finale of the celebration is the Annual Ifa/Orisa Lecture and Ancestral Pride Foundation 1st Anniversary/Award Presentation which is scheduled to hold on the 23rd of November at the Ijamido Town Hall, Ota. The lecture is themed, “The Role Of Cultural Heritage In Sustainable Development: Multi-dimensional Indicators As Decision-Making Tool”.
The Olota of Ota, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Prof.) Adeyemi Abdulkabir Obalanlege will be the Grand Royal Father of the day, while HRM Oba Samuel Ojugbele, Onilogbo of Ilogbo, Ota, HRM Oba Wasiu Ogungbayi, Onitetiku of Owode, Ota, HRM Oba Abdulfatai Alani Matanmi, Onijoko of Ijoko, Ota, HRM Oba (Dr.) Samuel Awoyemi Adisa, Onimeiran of Meiran, HRM Oba Ifakayode Ifaluade, Olu Ibogun are to top other dignitaries which are expected to grace the event.
The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Chief Dele Adeniji will guest as the Chairman of the event while the popular Fuji music iconic, King Dr. Saheed Osupa will be on ground to thrill guests with his traditional class of music.
