The House of Representatives candidate at the recently concluded National Assembly election in Ado-Odo/Ota federal constituency under the Action Democratic Congress, ADC, Hon. Barrister Akinboyede has expressed confidence in the victory of his principal, Chief Gboyega Nasir Isiaka.
While speaking with VOA News correspondent at his GRA, Ota polling unit 20, Hon. Akinboyede described the conduct of the poll as peaceful. “Though i have not cast my vote yet, but with what i am seeing, and i have been able to gather thus far, the conduct of this exercise is peaceful. Voters are not having any complaint whatsoever, the electoral officers too are fully in charge”.
On the outcome of the election and the chances of ADC Gubernatorial candidate, Chief Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, Hon. Akinboyede said that he is sure that GNI will carry the day. “We are fully on ground here in Ota and we also have other places too. At the end of this exercise, we are certain of emerging victorious”.
Meanwhile, VOA News correspondent gathered that voting exercise did not commence until 10:15am. Moreso, some party agents allegedly came with voter’s card which do not belong to the polling unit with an attempt to use them at the polling unit.
The polling unit is also the unit of APC Deputy Governorship candidate, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele. However, she had not cast her vote as at when our correspondent visited the polling unit.
