Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Legislative Council To Investigate Vice Chairman Over Alleged Corruption

The Ado-Odo/Ota Legislative Council is set to investigate the Local Government Vice Chairman, Hon. Rotimi Ojugbele over alleged cases of corruption leveled against him.

Hon. Abimbola Azeez, the councilor representing Ota ward II who is the Chairman of the committee constituted to investigate the case of corruption leveled against the Vice Chairman made this known to VOA News correspondent.

In his address, he said that the integrity of the Vice Chairman is under question and that a committee has been set up to investigate his alleged involvement in the purchase of an official vehicle that was funded from the diversion of tax payers money.

” Vice Chairman’s integrity is under question ….. Ado Odo/Ota Local Government Legislative council Constitute Ad-hoc Committee to investigate  the Office of the Vice Chairman on the purchase of official Vehicle and his participation in the diversion of tax payers money on this purpose.


The leader of the House inaugurated Ad-hoc committee to investigate the purchase of the Vice chairman’s official vehicle  to be chaired by Hon. Azeez Abimbola Olaleye, while Hon. Opaleye Jamiu is to act as the Secretary members are Hon. Talabi Monsuru and Hon. Egbeyemi Moshood.”

He further said that the committee has been given a week ultimatum to submit its report to the house for further action to be taken.

When VOA News correspondent contacted the Vice Chairman on his involvement in the allegation leveled against him, he said he is not aware of such allegation.
