Alleged Police Brutality Of SLG: “We re Taking It Up”, – Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Transition Chairman, Hon. Lawal Wasiu

The transition Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota local government, Hon. Lawal Wasiu has reacted to the alleged brutality of the local government Secretary, Hon. Kolawole Lamid Muideen by a Police Officer in charge of ketu Adie-Owe Police post, ASP Ajoba lamid on Saturday.

Hon. Lawal Wasiu, who spoke with VOA News correspondent via a telephone interview on Wednesday said, ‘I am aware of the alleged Police brutality on the Secretary to the Local government, Hon. Kolawole Lamid. We are taking the matter up’.

Recall that VOA News reported that the ASP and his men, who were on lockdown duty somewhere around Lusada, along Atan-Agbara express road on Saturday, ‘slapped, dragged and unlawfully locked up the current serving local government Secretary over his refusal to wear face mask’.

A situation that has generated a lot of reactions from some residents and stakeholders in the local government.

Meanwhile, the local government boss assured that the council will ‘follow the matter up and pursue it to a logical conclusion’.

Efforts to get the Police spokesperson in Ogun State, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi to speak on the matter has not yielded as messages sent to him to clear the air on the matter has not been acknowledged as at the time of filing this report.
