On the news of his arrest, Chief Jide Ojuko said he was not arrested by men of DSS. He said he was only having a conversation with them, and that they were looking for the Chairman, Local Government Service Commissions, Hon. Rotimi Rahman (Arugbo).
“I was not arrested by anyone. Don’t mind mischief makers. If I was arrested, I would not be speaking with you over the phone. The DSS officials were looking for Hon. Rahman and as soon as he came, we all left the place”.
On the conduct of the exercise, Chief Jide Ojuko said it has been peaceful and that there were no issues whatsoever.
He said that the outcome of the election would favour their party and that he is confident his party would carry the day.
On whether he would win his polling unit this time, Chief Jide Ojuko said that there is no big deal in losing one’s polling unit.
“There is no big deal in losing my polling unit. Afterall, Osinbajo lost at his polling unit, Mr. Raji Fashola also lost at his polling unit. Many other political gladiators also lost out, so what are we talking about?”
He however said he would take the result of the election in good faith and that there should not be violence.
