The Ota Magistrate court on Tuesday arraigned two men identified as Olamide Wasiu and Osaro Otegame, for allegedly burgling one Mr Christopher Udeze’s boutique in Sango.
The duos were said to have committed the offence on October 14, 2019 at Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Sango, Ogun state.
VOA News learnt that they allegedly stole goods worth N588,000 belonging to Mr Christopher.
They were accused of three count charges; felony, damage of property and stealing.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them.
The complainant, Mr Christopher told VOA News correspondent that, ”these men burgled my shop through the roofing and carted away with goods worth N588,000. The goods include, jean jacket of N200,000; stock trousers worth N175,000; shirts N70,000; round-necked tops of N50,000; foot wears and silos joggers worth N97,500.
“one of the defendants who later came in disguise to my shop met my sales boy and told him that he knew the culprits. But unfortunately for him, he was putting on one of the clothes they stole from my shop,” he added.
The magistrate however, remanded the defendants and adjourned the case till November 14 for further hearing.
