Former Emir Sanusi Exercises Freedom, On His Way To Lagos

Former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, was reported to have left Awe in Nassarawa State on his way to Lagos State en-route Abuja.

Sanusi was said to have led Friday prayers in Awe where he preached about accepting destiny and believing in Allah’s choice before leaving for Abuja from where he was expected to fly to Lagos.

Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai was with him at the Friday Mosque as well as on his way to Abuja. At the time this story was being published, it was not certain if he would go with him to Lagos.

Earlier in the day, the Federal High Court in Abuja presided by Justice Anwuli I. Chikere granted the ex-parte application brought by Sanusi’s legal team seeking his release from detention in Awe.
