Hon. Aina Akinpelu Declares For House Of Representative In 2019 Elections, Battles Hon. Arugbo, Others For Party Ticket

The lawmaker representing Ota at the Ogun State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Health, Hon. Aina Akinpelu has declared his intention to contest the House of Representative seat under the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

In a release on his social media account, Hon Aina requested the support and prayer of his constituents in what he termed as the next phase of his political struggle. He said that his intention to run was born out of the opinions and persuasions of his people who believed in his ability to represent them in a higher capacity, having done same for two consecutive terms in the State House of Assembly.

“Good morning to all the good people of our dear Ado-Odo / Ota Federal Constituency in Ado-Odo / Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State (the political class, traditional rulers, religious leaders / bodies, community leaders, artisans, business class, professional bodies, students bodies, various interest groups and all stakeholders generally) as I welcome you all to the Month of March where I pray that we all shall march to our various next great levels by His grace.

Today being the 1st of March, 2018 and in our search for another Representative at the Federal House of Representatives in Abuja come 2019, I want to use this medium to officially announce the next phase of my/our journey in political struggle.

After listening to various opinions, views and voices of our people based on series of consultation and by His grace, I’m happy to inform you that I will be contesting for the post of Federal House of Representatives representing Ado-Odo / Ota Federal Constituency at the National Assembly in Abuja come 2019 on the platform of our great and ruling All Progressives Party (APC).

I also wish to use this medium to request for your prayers and support as usual towards the realisation of our our mandate in order to Consolidate the little and meaningful efforts that I have been able to achieve in the past six and half years as Honourable Member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing Ado – Odo / Ota 1 Constituency…and as usual, I promise to give all and sundry a qualitative and productive representation as I will discharge my duties to the best of my ability.

*** Please join me in this Month of March 2018 as we March forward to Abuja with your prayers and support for a “real and genuine” Continuity Project of our Mission to Rebuild Ogun State – as Legacy is set to Consolidate come 2019 in Abuja by His grace.

Thank you all.
Amofin, Asofin Aina – for Reps”.

However, Hon. Aina will be relying on his achievements and wide acceptability by his constituents to slug it out with the likes of Hon. Rotimi Rahman (Arugbo), who most people believes has the support of the incumbent Governor of the State, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun.
