Lagos High Chief, Fatai Olumegbon Passes On At 59

Lagos High Chief,Fatai Olumegbon is dead.

The Olumegbon of Lagos and Head of Idejo Chieftaincy class, High Chief Fatai Adisa Abiodun Olumegbon who was the overlord of Ajah and it’s environs reportedly died in Ghana on Sunday March 24, 2019 at the age of 59.
The prominent white cap chief was said to have died as a result of an undisclosed ailment.

It will be recalled that the late Olumegbon rose in defense of Oba Rilwan Akiolu stoolship. During the legal battle which challenged the legality of Oba Rilwan Akinolu, the head of white cap chiefs in Lagos, late Olumegbon told an Ikeja High Court that the former was chosen by Ifa, the god of divination as the rightful monarch of Lagos.

The late Olumegbon was also notorious for the persistence land tussle which characterized Ajah and its suburbs over a decade ago.
