Local Government Councilors Takes Oath Of Office
Local government Councilors across the state today takes their oath of office few months after they were elected into office.
Representing the commissioner for oath in Ogun state, Barrister Olayinke Akinwole swears in five councilors in Ado-Odo/Ota local government.
The event which was held under closed doors saw the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Adeniji Dele signing the oath forms of the newly elected councilors.
While speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Hon. Yomi Joda, representing Alishiba ward appreciated the people of the local council for supporting them up till this point. He however assured that there would be synergy between the newly sworn in Local Government Councilors and the Chairman. He further added that the legislative house will perform their oversight functions.
In his own remark, the Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Dele Adeniji enjoined the newly sworn in Councilors to operate in a healthy environment, warning that the present administration will not condone any act of disunity.
He further charged them to follow the rules and regulations and most importantly, to keep all matters as it affects governance in the local council a top secret.
In his last remark, the Chairman thanked the party stalwarts for their supports, especially the career officers.
