The on-air-personality and media sensation, who works with Eko FM, Alhaja Adeola Orisile Kafayat has been honored with the title of “Erelu Afedeshewa of Oruba, Ota”.
The honor was conferred on Orisile by His Royal Highness, Oba Abdulwadud Eniade Ajani Deinde at his Oruba palace on Saturday.
Oba Deinde, while conferring the title on Adeola, necessitated the need for such a honor to be bestowed on her, having distinguished herself in the media industry and at the same time, not losing touch with her community.
He added further that Adeola has contributed immensely to the growth of the town and she has in her own little way, ensured the sustainability of peace and tranquility in Oruba.
In an interview with VOA Entertainment correspondent, the newly crowned chief expressed her heartfelt joy and desire to continually work so as to promote Oruba and Ota city as a whole, being reason why she was honored in the first place. She appreciated the Akogun of Oruba for deeming her fit to be considered as Erelu Afedeshewa of Oruba land.
The Ekerin of Ota who represented the Olota of Ota at the event, High Chief Bamgboye Osunlabu expressed satisfaction in the installation of Adeola Orisile.
He added that youths can now step forward and pitch tent with the elders by accepting chieftaincy titles from their community, if proposed to them.
A media mogul, Alhaji Fatai Aregbe, described Orisile as someone that is hardworking and has a unique and unmatched talent which she has exhibited over time, hence, reason why she was considered for the position.
Another media sensation, Alhaji Abiodun Oropo, popularly known as Oyinlomo jo jo, described Alhaja Orisile as an easy going woman who doesn’t look out for trouble.
He also said that Alhaja Kafayat has the love of her people at heart, adding that her consideration for the title was in order.
Alhaja Kafayat Orisile is a presenter at Eko 89.75FM, she is also an event handler. She was a co-host at the coronation of Olota of Ota and 2018 Iganmode day carnival.
