Night Of Cultural Exhibition As Yewa/Awori TAMPAN Honours Wale D Good, Alhaji Olokun And Two Others

It was night of cultural exhibition as Yewa/Awori Theatre Arts Motion Picture Association of Nigeria(TAMPAN) honours Wale D Good Dada, Alhaji AbdulAzeez Jolaosho Oluokun and two others.

The National liaison officer of Ogun State TAMPAN, Alhaji Latif Ololade Deinde, in his speech said the award is aimed at honouring the awardees for their contributory efforts towards positioning the zone to an enviable position in the society.

The event was grilled by performing artistes with different performances, some of whom were Indian princess who thrilled the guests with her Indian style of performance. Another performer Temitope Omosehinde, popularly known as Omoge Bata entertained the guests with her Bata style of beat. While speaking with VOA, Esan Bata said she started playing Bata about six months ago and she has performed for the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oni of Ife among other top dignitaries.

One of the awardees, Alhaji Ifadamilare Alade Onimole who is the Oluwo Ifa agbaye was conferred upon the award ‘Atayese of Theatre Practitioners in Yewa/Awori’. The National liaison officer, Alhaji Deinde said that Oluwo Ifa agbaye was considered for the award because of the contributory role he has played in supporting theatre practitioners in the zone.

 A media mogul and the  Secretary to Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Wale Dada D Good was conferred upon the title of ‘Aare Baroyin of TAMPAN, Yewa/Awori’. While receiving the award, Wale Dada said he feel so elated to have been considered for the award. He however dedicated his award to all sons and daughters of Yewa/Awori.

Another beneficiary, Alhaji AbdulAzeez Jolaosho Olokun who was conferred upon the title of ‘Maiyegun of Yewa/Awori TAMPAN’ for his timely intervention to the needs of Theatre practitioners in the zone. While presenting the award, a renowned theatre and movie practitioner, Alhaji Hassan Taiwo(Ogogo) described Alhaji Olokun as a generous man who has demonstrated good spirit of brotherhood in time past.

The daughter of late Chief Olatunji who authored the book ‘Egbinrin-Ote‘, miss Fausat Oladoyin Olatunji who is famously known as ‘Shifau’ in her Oju-Abe program on Faaji FM every Thursday was also honoured with ‘Yeye Agbe Asa Ga of Yewa/Awori TAMPAN’ for speaking her local dialect which is ‘Anogo’ on her Thursday programs. While receiving the award, Miss Olatunji said words are not enough to express how she felt for the honour conferred on her. She had her late father to thank for her current social status.

Some of the dignitaries that graced the event were; Alhaji Hassan Taiwo (Ogogo), Alhaji Taiwo Abatan (Big Mighty), Iyaloja of Ifo, Arewa Baliqees, Alhaja, Amori, the Erelu of Onitetiku, Alhaji Tokis, among others.
