CMD Debunks Coronavirus Scare At State Hospital, Onipanu, Ota

The CMD of State Hospital, Ota, Dr Taofeek Somade, has debunked rumour going round the community that a case of Coronavirus was recorded at the hospital yesterday.

Rumors have it that a patient was rushed to the Hospital yesterday and was said to have contracted the deadly coronavirus. This has caused panic and unrest in the minds of the people of the community and its environs, taking into cognizance the sporadic the spread of the. coronavirus pandemic.

However, the CMD of the state hospital, Dr somade, In a Telephone chat with VOA news correspondent, revealed that the hospital has not recorded such case, He stressed that if such is recorded, the hospital would contact the appropriate quarters set up by the state government, to curtail the spread.

It will be recalled that Nigeria currently has 42 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and has recorded just one death so far. 29 of the confirmed cases were recorded in Lagos, 3 in Ogun, 6 in Abuja, 2 in Edo, 1 in Ekiti And 1 in oyo states respectively.
