Odun Omo Iganmode 2021: Ogun Health Ministry Kicks Off Covid-19 Vaccination Exercise
The Ogun state government through the ministry of Health has made good their promise to set up a COVID 19 VACCINATION point at the Royal palace of the Olota of Ota , Oba (Prof) Adeyemi Obalanlege.
The vaccination exercise kicked off today 7th December and it will last for a week to end on the 14th of December in commemoration of the 2021 odun Omo Iganmode festival.
The Chairman, Media and Publicity committee, Odun Omo Iganmode, Erelu Kafayat Adeola Orisile made this known on Tuesday in a statement made available to the newsmen.
According to the statement, the event started at exactly 10:00am when the Vice Chairman, odun Omo Iganmode central planning committee, Erelu Adenike Akindele-Eleku delivered the welcome address. She stated reasons why the opportunity was brought to our doorstep at Olota’s royal Palace. She urged the people of Ota and environs to seize the moment and get vaccinated in line with the Ogun state government’s directive on COVID 19 preventive measures.
Similarly,the chairman Central planning committee, Odun Omo Iganmode, Aare Dele Bankole equally thanked the Ogun state government, staff of the ministry of health and the people for their efforts to forestall any incidence of COVID-19.
The vaccination exercise signals the beginning of the week long odun Omo Iganmode festival which will hold on the 13th to the 19th of December 2021.
It is gaining momentum as we the event had well over 150 people who got vaccinated as at press time. All is geared towards a successful hosting of the festival tagged, Culture: A module for sustainable Leadership in Nigeria.
