Ogun Customs Gets New Controller As Kolo Retires

The Ogun 1 Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has gotten a new Controller, Newsmen reports.

The new Controller, Dera Nnadi, took over from Comptroller Peter Kolo at a handover ceremony held on Monday at the Conference Room of the Command.

The spokesperson of the Command, Hammed Oloyede, said on Tuesday that “Peter Kolo has proceeded on his three months pre-retirement leave.”

Nnadi, prior to his appointment, had served in the Command as Deputy Comptroller in charge of Administration. He was recently promoted.

Speaking, the outgoing Controller, Kolo appreciated the Comptroller General Customs and the entire Management for the opportunity and level playing ground he enjoyed to serve as the Controller of Ogun I Command.

Kolo expressed his gratitude to the principal and entire officers for their “unflinching support and cooperation.”

While congratulating his successor, whose appointment he described as a round peg in a round hole, Kolo expressed hope that he would sustain his legacy and build on it.

Responding, Nnadi thanked the NCS Management for finding him worthy of the position, pledging to discharge his duty with due diligence and high sense of responsibility.

He commended the outgoing CAC for his mentorship, selfless service to the nation and his administrative style, promising to uphold his legacy to an enviable status.

As he wished Kolo happy and peaceful retirement, Nnadi charged all the entire officers and men of the Command to extend their loyalty and cooperation to him.
