The Olota of Ota, His Esteemed Majesty, Oba (Prof.) Adeyemi Abdulkabir Obalanlege has described Hon. Ladi Adebutu as an honest man for redeeming his promises towards the launching of Foundation for Economic Development and Initiative (FECODEINE) which he made on behalf of his father, Sir Adebutu Kessington and the PDP Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Oba Adeyemi said this while the contingent of Hon. Ladi Adebutu which was led by Apagun Seye Sonuga and former Commissioner for Works in Ogun State, Hon. Waliu Layiwola Taiwo visited him and the executive members of Iganmode carnival 2018 planning committee.
While presenting the cheques to Olota, Apagun Seye Sonuga, who stood in for Hon. Ladi Adebutu said that his principal sent them to redeem the promise he made on behalf of his father, who was the chief launcher of the carnival and Presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. He added that Hon. Adebutu has the interest of Ota and indeed, Ogun State at heart.
It will be recalled that the aspirant of People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, during the Iganmode carnival which was held at the premises of Ansar U- Deen Comprehensive College, Ota on 22nd of December, 2018 promised the sum of N1M, N5M, for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and N10M on behalf of his father. Hon. Ladi paid his own personal pledge immediately.
The Olota of Ota, Oba Adeyemi however, lauded Hon. Adebutu for redeeming his promise; describing him as an honest man who stood by his words. He added that only few people could vow and then see to redeeming it. He thanked Hon. Adebutu, his father, Sir Kessignton Adebutu and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for partaking in the project which is targeted at turning around the fortunes of the industrial hub of Ogun State.
Mrs Bimbo Akinosi, the Vice Chairman of Iganmode Carnival central organizing committee, lauded Hon. Adebutu for fulfilling his promise and making sure that his father as well as former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar fulfilled theirs.
She then assured Hon. Adebutu that the money would be judiciously used to turn around the fortunes of Ota.
The Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government party Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Salako and Hon. Mustapha Adekunle led other PDP stalwarts to the meeting.
