Olota’s Wife, Olori Oloruntoyin Obalanlege Presents Gifts To 2019 First Baby Of The Year
Wife of the Olota of Ota, Olori Oloruntoyin Obalanlege has reiterated the need to cater for children in order for them to become useful citizens in the society.
She made this known while presenting cash as well as gift items to the first baby which was given birth to at the General Hospital, Ota on Tuesday.
The first baby in 2019 at Ota was a boy, born around 7:48am to Mrs Ajo Baliqees, weighing almost 3.7Kg.
Olori Oloruntoyin said that there was need to take care of babies and that the job of motherhood is such that last for a while, adding that if one can endure the stress inherent, both parents and the society at large would benefit from it.
While speaking with VOA News correspondent on the need for celebrating with the 1st baby in 2019, she said that babies generally are our future and hence the need for them to be nurtured and well brought up for them to become useful citizens of Nigeria. “There has been lots of talk about Nigeria not doing fine, but if babies are captured young and given adequate training, Nigeria would be a better place for all to live”.
She added that the gesture will be annual; encouraging all mothers to strive so as to successfully execute the task of motherhood which God has given all mothers.
While receiving the gift items on behalf of the newly born baby, the mother, Mrs Ajo Baliqees who is from Igbesa, expressed her excitement towards the kind gestures which Olori and Olota extended to her family.
She however, wished that the new baby became a Medical Doctor.
