Prince Kazeem Aderibigbe Balogun has today emerged as the 1st Alaale of Ajilete by wide majority of vote to become the 1st Alaale of Ajilete.
The election officer, Mr Ogunsanya pronounced Prince Kazeem Aderibigbe the Oba elect of Ajilete after polling a total of four votes to one.
The election, which was peacefully conducted among the five surviving king makers, viz; Chief Oga Ilu of Ajilete, Chief Balogun of Ilaro Quarters, Baba Isale of Ilaaro Quarters, Chief Balogun of Ilori Quarters, Chief Balogun of Erinja Quarters had indigenes of the town cheering the result of the election with wild jubilation.
In an interview with the Oba elect, Prince Kazeem Aderibigbe, he affirmatively said that the people of Ajilete would not regret having him as the Alaale of Ajilete as he would do every thing possible to make the town move forward from its current state.
“I will foster unity, understanding and love among my people, so that moving the community forward will not be a difficult task in my administration. I will always have my people in mind, and I am assuring that all is well, they should put their mind at peace.”
He assured that the Alaale-in-council would be his first assignment upon ascension on the throne of his fore-fathers.

While speaking with VOA News correspondent, Alhaji Isah Olayode Edun, said that happiness filled his mind at the emergence of the King-elect as he had had great assurance in him that Aderibigbe would emerge as the Alaale because of his philanthropic gesture to the people of Ajilete.

In a separate interview with another community member, Mrs Taibatu Amosun, expressed her view with joy while she said the king-elect has been her choice and was sure he would add meaningful development to their community.

The election, which was held amidst tight security had king makers, clerics, and other members of Ajilete community.
