Sacked Ogun APC Faults Oshiomhole On Exco Dissolution

The executive body of the Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress on Wednesday dismissed its dissolution by the National Working Committee of the party.

The Chairman of the party in the state,  Chief Derin Adebiyi, told journalists in Abeokuta that the dissolution  was illegal.

Adebiyi,  who said he and  36 other members of the state executive body had four years to spend, said they would continue in office in line with the constitution of the APC.

He described their sacking as subjudice, saying the matter was already in the FCT High Court, Abuja.

He said,  “What they (the NWC) have done is illegality, it is of no consequence and it is an exercise in futility.

“ The National Chairman  (Adams Oshiomhole) has decided to engage in self-help, using the name of the NWC to cover his misdeeds. It can never stand, we remain the executive body in Ogun State.”

Adebiyi added, “Already, we are in court. We had our first hearing on December 11 in the suit we instituted against Adams Oshiomhole and the NWC. We realised that they are fond of illegality. He (Oshiomhole)  is a professional agitator.

“This is a tenured position. We are to serve for four years. We were elected in May. No anti-party activities  offence was charged against us.

“The party’s constitution says all elected organs shall be in office for four years, but if there are issues of  discipline, there are procedures. He has engaged in executive radicalism. He (Oshiomhole) works like a garrison commander. Oshiomhole never listens. He was defeated in Rivers and Kwara states and he would be defeated in Ogun State.

“Oshiomhole does not like President Muhammadu Buhari; we will put him in shame. He is an agent of  the PDP.”
