‘Shun All Other Types Of Pen, Vote For A Party With The Red Pen’- Chief Jide Ojuko

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Ogun State, Hon. Chief Jide Ojuko has urged electorates to abandon the parties with other colours of pen and vote for a party whose pen is red coloured. He said this during a visit which the Allied People’s Movement (APM) made to the palace of the Olota of Ota, HEM Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdulkabir Obalanlege earlier today.

Chief Jide Ojuko, while addressing the Olota of Ota and other monarchs present at the event, advised that they should not vote any other party aside the Allied People’s Movement in that the party’s gubernatorial candidate has all it takes to govern the state. “He who owns the red pen, owns the asset. Regardless of the educational background, he/she has the power to decide over every matter”. He said.

In his own call at the palace of Olota, the gubernatorial candidate of the Allied People’s Movement, Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade, Triple A, appealed to electorates to cast their votes wisely so as not to repeat the mistakes of the past.

Hon. Akinlade reiterated that it was the turn of Ogun West to become the next Governor of the state as the district had since been marginalized.

He further emphasized the need for them to have a voice at the helms of affair in the state and pledged that he’s the trusted voice the people should vote.

The Olota of Ota, HEM Oba Prof. Adeyemi Abdulkabir Obalanlege, in his own remark prayed for the gubernatorial candidate and said that he would be so happy to become the father of the next Governor of the state. “I want to be the father of the Governor. I want to be the father of the red pen holder because if my son owns the red pen, it belongs to me as well. So, I am invoking the spirits of our ancestors in Awori land that all your wishes, all your prayers will certainly come true in the believe that you will fulfill your own part of our agreement”.

VOA News Correspondent gathered that the visit to the palace was to pay homage to the monarchs of Awori land in the state and as well seek their royal blessings towards the forth coming general elections.

It was gathered that the campaign train of the APM moved round Ota in a bid to get the gospel and manifestos of the party closer to the people.

Chief Dele Adeniji, Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota local government, Olofin of Ado-Odo, HRM Oba Abdullafif Adeniran Akanni, Onilogbo of Ilogbo, Ota, HRM Oba Dr. Samuel Ojugbele, Alagbara of Agbara, HRM Oba Lukman Agunbiade, Onitetiku of Owode, Ota, HRM Oba Abdulwasiu Akanni Ogungbayi, tops other political candidates, monarchs and government functionaries who were at the event.
