Suspected Cultists Arrested In Ota During Initiation

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested four suspected cultists during an initiation ceremony at the Olorunwa area of Ota in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects, Adeleke Busayo, 19; Adetunji Joshua, 25; Adeyemi Olusegun, 19 and 18-year-old Usman Quyum were arrested while they were being initiated in the community into a dreaded cult group.

Policemen attached to the Onipanu Division, who acted on a tip-off from the members of the community, were led to the scene of the initiation by the DPO, CSP Baba Maiyaki to arrest the suspects. The cult group’s kingpin, simply identified as ‘Bambo’ escaped.
The arrested suspects have all confessed to committing the offence.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, had directed that the suspects be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation. He further directed that the fleeing kingpin of the cult group be fished out as soon as possible
