The Otunba of Ota and Deputy State Chairman, Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) has expressed that this year’s birthday comes in handy and as such, is a very unique one.
Chief Tokis, in a chat with VOA News correspondent reminisced on his lifetime as a transport union worker and a chief in the community. He said though, he has been having eventful birthday celebrations, this year’s own comes with a special gift as he has now risen through the ranks to becoming the deputy state chairman of RTEAN in Ogun state.
“I am so excited This year’s birthday comes with a lot of joy. Last year, I was the union’s PRO, but this year. I have now by God’s grace; became the Deputy state chairman.”
On the coronavirus pandemic, he advised people to stay at home in that the pandemic is real as against the popular believe that it is just an act of deceit by the government. He said the RTEAN has started campaign on the pandemic and has distributed hand sanitizers and face masks to Nigerians.
Chief Tokis wish to witness many more years on earth with sound health and unperturbed progress, when asked what his birthday wish was.
He thanked families, friends, community and colleagues who have turned out to celebrate him on his new birthday.
